Signature Migration Bass 'E' Maple
Our Signature Migration is handcrafted from Maple with Turquoise cabochons inlay. The inspiration for our Migration Signature Flute was from the Sandhill Cranes that migrate by their thousands to southern Arizona each year. During the winter season the Sandhill Cranes come south to enjoy the temperate climate, and the vision of witnessing hundreds of large birds flying and grazing was so awe inspiring.
The Migration Signature in the key of 'E' minor is 24-inches (62 cm) in length with a 1-inch bore diameter, a more compact bore diameter than our Traditional Bass Flutes, which some players may find easier to play.
Maple features a focused, bright tone emphasizing articulation and clarity with its sound-casting. Maple is one of the most widely used tonal woods in musical instrument making, and it's been a cornerstone of traditional violin making for centuries.
The flute is a bass flute tuned in the key of "E" minor and can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of "G major".
Our Signature Series flutes combine artistry and functionality, as beautiful objects and musical instruments. These flutes have a unique design that provides exceptional responsiveness, player-control, and amplification through superior airflow, making them ideal for concert performances, experienced players, and professional musicians, and any genre of music.

1. Prepare — Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn. Remove all packaging and place on a heat-safe surface away from drafts.
2. First burn — Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges on your first use (approx. 2 hours). This prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn for the life of the candle.
3. Enjoy — Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
4. Care — Once finished, clean the vessel with warm soapy water and repurpose as a storage jar, planter, or glassware.
We started Apothecary because we believed your home deserved better than synthetic fragrance and mass-produced wax. Most candles on the market are made with paraffin — a petroleum by-product — and loaded with artificial fragrance that can trigger headaches, allergies, and that familiar "chemical" smell.
We wanted something different: a candle that fills a room slowly, honestly, with scent that feels like it belongs there. That's why every Amber Candle is hand-poured in small batches using a coconut-soy blend, scented with a proprietary amber and resin accord that took over a year to develop.
Burn time matters too. We designed the Amber Candle to reach a full melt pool within the first two hours, which means no tunnelling, no wasted wax, and a consistent scent throw every time you light it.
This candle isn't just a product. It's what we'd want in our own homes.

How long does the Amber Candle burn?
Approximately 50 hours with proper care — trimming the wick to 5mm before each burn and not exceeding 4-hour burn sessions.
What wax is used?
A coconut-soy blend. We chose this combination for its clean burn, excellent scent throw, and renewable sourcing. No paraffin, no petroleum.
Is it safe to burn around pets?
Our fragrance is free from known pet-toxic ingredients, but we always recommend burning in a well-ventilated space. Keep candles physically out of reach of all animals at all times.
