EarthTone 'A' Aromatic Cedar
Our EarthTone 432 Hz flute in the key of 'A' minor is handcrafted in southern Arizona from a single piece of Aromatic Cedar. Aromatic Cedar is a softwood, which give the flute a warm, full tonal quality.
For over 30-years we have been crafting flutes from single pieces of Aromatic Cedar and in the process we have become adept at choosing planks with natural characteristics to turn into incredible sounding flutes. Aromatic Cedar has a range of colors from ginger-orange to burgundy-red, it can also showcase sapwood which is yellow colored wood found in Aromatic Cedar.
The key of 'A' is an ideal flute for learning to play the flute. It has a soothing mid-tone musical voice, its size and length (19 in / 48 cm) make it an instrument that is highly accessible for most hand sizes. The flute is tuned in the key of "A" minor and can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of "C".
Every flute we make is unique piece of functional art. When you choose one of our Aromatic Cedar flutes we guarantee is high-quality sound, its flawless craftmanship, and its one-of-a-kind features created by nature.
About 432 Hz Tuning Frequency
Our EarthTone wooden flutes use a 432 Hz frequency for the “A” note and all other notes are aligned accordingly. When played alongside flutes that are tuned to the frequency of 440 Hz, the 432 Hz tonal difference is very subtle. The 8Hz of tonal difference are seemingly slight in degree but can be perceptibly different when experiencing the feeling of the music we hear. Much like the subtle inflection of the human voice that can project a subtle variation in feelings, an instrument using a slight change in frequency can alter the feeling quality of the music being played.
An instrument known as a CymaScope can project the physical geometric patterns of any specific vibration. By connecting the instrument to a vessel of liquid or a solid medium such as sand on a plate, the vibration of a specific frequency will create consistent unique geometric shapes. Internet searches for “CymaScope 432Hz” will give many options to see the instrument creating the various patterns.
The claims and potential benefits cannot all be scientifically proven. We suggest letting your personal experience be the deciding factor in the choice of tunings.

1. Prepare — Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn. Remove all packaging and place on a heat-safe surface away from drafts.
2. First burn — Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges on your first use (approx. 2 hours). This prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn for the life of the candle.
3. Enjoy — Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
4. Care — Once finished, clean the vessel with warm soapy water and repurpose as a storage jar, planter, or glassware.
We started Apothecary because we believed your home deserved better than synthetic fragrance and mass-produced wax. Most candles on the market are made with paraffin — a petroleum by-product — and loaded with artificial fragrance that can trigger headaches, allergies, and that familiar "chemical" smell.
We wanted something different: a candle that fills a room slowly, honestly, with scent that feels like it belongs there. That's why every Amber Candle is hand-poured in small batches using a coconut-soy blend, scented with a proprietary amber and resin accord that took over a year to develop.
Burn time matters too. We designed the Amber Candle to reach a full melt pool within the first two hours, which means no tunnelling, no wasted wax, and a consistent scent throw every time you light it.
This candle isn't just a product. It's what we'd want in our own homes.

How long does the Amber Candle burn?
Approximately 50 hours with proper care — trimming the wick to 5mm before each burn and not exceeding 4-hour burn sessions.
What wax is used?
A coconut-soy blend. We chose this combination for its clean burn, excellent scent throw, and renewable sourcing. No paraffin, no petroleum.
Is it safe to burn around pets?
Our fragrance is free from known pet-toxic ingredients, but we always recommend burning in a well-ventilated space. Keep candles physically out of reach of all animals at all times.
